How did it get burned???????
I like 9 out 0f 10 Nick Cage movies but he is in so many that plenty are just awful. The original Wicker Man film was really good. Never saw the new one because I didn't think there was any way it could be as good so what is the point? I did see the "not the bees" scene on-line and was glad I didn't see the rest.

PS. would love for more restorations/re-releases rather than re-makes. Would be cheaper for the studios and guaranteed to bring in at least the people who already are fans of the film.

"Why Bank Of America Fired Me"
I loved this video as it is first hand account of what many consider to be common knowledge. It also shows that the lowly employee at the bottom sometimes have more business sense than the people at the top. Her helping people pay off their debt is a great long-term strategy for the company. Them wanting to keep the people least likely to be able to pay saddled with the most debt is extremely short term thinking as the company is increasing the likeleyhood that those loans will ever get paid at all. While it looks good on their current spreadsheet because they are owed more money and at a high interest in the long term they will have to write off much of that when the loans fail. Bosses at the top probably care more about keeping the poor down than collecting more money since they already have plenty for themselves and many generations of their families to come. Meanwhile the customers and most shareholders suffer in the long term... until the people at the top find themselves under the guillotine of course (sad inevitability unless the people at the top mend their ways)

Re: Ask vs. Aks
Aks is in the dictionary as one of the pronunciations of the word ask. In some dictionaries it shows up as its own word as well with the same meaning as ask. I love it when ignorant people claim they are smarter than others, hilarious. You could have looked it up before commenting about how wrong it is and then you wouldn't seem so dumb.

The double pendulum gives an example of chaotic motion
It is not a matter of just practicality. The frikken moon and sun would have to be in the exact same positions never mind the constantly shifting magnetic field of the earth. You would have to rewind all the vibrations in the universe to get the same motion when it goes on for that long with so many moments where either pendulum could go either way. Nature is soft and wave-like so there is no same spot one could start them at and the waves that we see as atoms will never be the same ever again so there is no same thing to line up the same. And you don't even have precise moments in time since movement and geography of nature is smooth and not step-like so you cannot even release the waves that make up the object at a certain time. In short: Too many variables in a system like this to reproduce it (it is cause and effect but causes that go back into infinity).

The Atheist Experience: Why Are You Atheists Anti-Christian?
Atheists don't complain about christians trying to save them they complain about christians trying to create and enforce laws that are not based upon morality but upon religious beliefs.

France cheats its way into World Cup
What I don't get is if the player tells the ref that he touched it with his hand shouldn't that be enough to disqualify the goal? It is really easy to instinctively reach out and touch the ball but it sounds like Thierry told the ref what happened. When I used to play soccer that might have been frowned upon by your own team (depending on the coaches) but the refs certainly listened to the players if they ever called something on themselves.

Urban myths about climate change
Since global warming is so controversial and hard to prove why even mention it? Air quality should be plenty of reason to lower emissions and this problem has plenty of non-controversial proof. Why even talk about global warming when it basically impossible to prove when there are plenty of other reasons to lower emissions.

I will promise you this..
People complain about the corporations having too much power. The corporations don't vote, individual people do. The only way the corporations can take power is for people to give it to them. Stop complaining and start doing. The rich few are laughing all the way to our graves while we stand idly by letting them do as they please. The rich few would love for us to believe we cannot change anything, that we have no power. The truth is the few cannot rule over the many unless the many let them.

Curb Your Enthusiasm - Sweden and Norway are not the same!
Language, culture, food, is almost the same. If you can read one language you can read the other. It is harder when speaking to understand everything because of the accents. The variations in habitat have more of a cultural impact than nationality. But I must say I meet people from Norway, Sweden and Denmark who are fiercely nationalistic even though we share so much history and culture but I don't find that to be the norm and saying Sven is a Norwegian name is certainly not accurate. It is a name much older than the current nations as are most names and cultures in Scandinavia.

16 yr old has ridiculously simple idea, makes $$$
It is perfectly safe. It will only move when there is a light force applied. as soon as there is any larger force applied it locks. Simple perfect design. All you have to focus on is making it and the installation strong enough.

Mother Nature Warms Up The Crowd
I love the people cheering the spectacular sky and the lightning. I am always amazed by what one can see just by looking at natural phenomena that people just seem to ignore for the most part.
